This passage came to mind from invisible cities, which I'm a bit obsessed with now. He describes the city as being a relationship between things, and their distance from each other. I remember packing up my house, a few weeks ago, and noticing my feeling of home was about the relationship of my bed to my bookcase, my chair to my radio, how I looked up from my desk onto a wall of images and ideas. When we arrived here, these were the first things I put in place , in relation to each other, to feel home again.
