Unsettled by the placid safety of swimming in Lake Michigan, the artists resolved to generate the necessary threat in the water. With shark fins attached, their swimming marked the landscape as theirs - producing familiarity through the presence of danger. This performance is part of the artists’ continued construction of an island - recognising a shared sense of panic that affirms their connection and induces a sense of survival.
