First Glimpse (Night)
2011
Intervention (dimensions variable)
In First Glimpse (Night) a beam of light shines out through the gallery window and on to the street bellow making a circular illuminated island. This defined form in the midst of the public area relates closely to our collaborative process, which exists in isolated, removed environments outside of our individual lives and art practices.
As cars and pedestrians pass by, the light draws attention to the surface of the pavement, which in turn indicates the window it emanates from. First Glimpse is a reveal of the somewhat concealed existence of our collaboration.
